The following Terms and Conditions (Referral Program Terms) apply to anyone referring a friend or relative as a potential athlete for Mako Running. By referring a friend or relative you have agreed to the following terms in full, so please take the time to familiarise yourself with the terms and conditions of the Referral Program.

Definitions:

In the context of the Referral Program Terms, the following words may be used throughout.

“Start Date” – Following a successful referral, the date a friend or relative makes their first payment to Mako Running.

“Referrer”, “you” or “your” – An eligible person who refers a friend or relative to Mako Running and their services

“Referred Friend” – An eligible friend or relative known personally by the referrer.

“Referral Code” – A code provided to the Referrer to share with potential referred friends as a way of tracking the number of referrals for referral reward purposes.

“Referral Reward” – A credit of the value of 20% of the Referrer subscription cost to be applied to the following payment period, upon successful referral of three Referred Friends.

Eligibility: Referrer

1.     A Referrer must be a full Mako Running athlete who is currently active and utilising the services provided.

1.1  Must be over the age of 18.

1.2  You may not refer yourself under this referral program.

1.3  For you to be eligible for the referral reward following a successful referral:

1.3.1      You must meet the eligibility requirements of clause 1

1.3.2      The referred friend must meet the eligibility requirements of clause 2

1.3.3      The referred friend must use the referral code when submitting their interest and/or at checkout when joining Mako Running.

1.4  You will not be eligible for rewards:

1.4.1      If the referred friend does not identify you as the referrer (or provide your unique code)

1.4.2      In the event that the Referred Friend is referred by two or more Mako Running athletes, we reserve the right in our absolute discretion to determine whether and who to whom the Referral Reward will be issued.

Eligibility: Referred Friend

2.     A Referred Friend is an individual who is above the age of 18.

2.1 Who is healthy and cleared by relevant medical professionals (where appropriate) to commence a workout routine.

2.2 Has not been an active Mako Running athlete in the previous 6 months.

2.3 Current Mako Running athletes are not eligible to become a Referred Friend under this Referral Program.

Referral Process

3.     Eligible referrers will be provided with a unique code.

3.1 Share this referral code with your family and friends and remind them to apply the code when purchasing a coaching plan.

3.2 If the Referred Friend is successful in securing a place on the Mako Running athlete roster, then this referral will be deemed successful and you will be eligible for the Referral Reward subject to these Referral Program Terms.

Referral Reward

4.     Mako Running will monitor compliance with the Referral Program Terms. You will not be eligible for the Referral Reward in the event that:

4.1 In our (Mako Running) reasonable opinion any of the eligibility criteria in these Referral Terms is not met or have been breached in any many

4.1.2 Mako Running has reasonable grounds to suspect fraud, abuse or misuse of the Referral Program.

4.1.3 The referred Friend leaves Mako Running within their first 30 days.

4.1.4 Mako Running may delay the issuance of the Referral Reward to conduct any necessary investigations or verifications.

4.2 The Referral Reward offered at this time is credited on future subscriptions. It is the value of 20% of one month’s subscription.

For example, if an athlete is on a 6-month rolling contract valued at £300 and successfully refers a friend, they will receive £10 off their next subscription.

4.2.1 Referral Rewards can be stacked within the current subscription period.

4.2.2 Maximum of 3 referrals to be stacked during one subscription period.

4.2.3 If an athlete changes subscription plans during a current subscription pay period, the value of their Referral Reward will remain at a fixed rate upon the time of earning said Referral Reward

General

5.     This Referral Program will be active from December 1st 2024, until amended or stopped.

5.1 Mako Running reserves the right to amend, modify, cancel or withdraw the Referral Program outline in these terms at any time and without notice.

5.2 In the event of any dispute concerning the Referral Program, our decision will be final.

5.3 This Referral Program cannot be used in conjunction with any other such incentive scheme we may offer during this time.

5.4 By participating in the Referral Program you acknowledge and agree to these Referral Program Terms and Conditions and Mako Running’s Privacy Policy, in their entirety.

5.5 These Referral Terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Regardless of where in the world you reside.
