FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • It is hard to put an exact numerical value on how long it will take due to variance from person to person. From the point of initial contact to receiving your training we aim for 10 days (plus/minus a couple days either side.) We want to take our time to get to know you as a human and an athlete. The most time consuming part are the medical release forms.

  • Absolutely! Mako Running is for anyone and everyone! Whether you’re an elite athlete aiming for Olympic standards or this is quite literally going to be your first run, I am here for you!

  • Unfortunately, I can not guarantee you results. But what I can guarantee is that you will be delivered a plan curated to your individual needs. I will do everything in my power to help you, but you must also be willing to put in the hard graft and contribute to our coach-athlete relationship.

  • NO! That is one of the many positives of online coaching. No matter where you are in the world Mako Running is there with you!

  • This is great question. We highly recommend investing in a good pair of running shoes. You will also want to make sure you are wearing comfortable sporting gear that has wick away capabilities to remove sweat!

  • This does truly vary from person to person , however we do suggest at least 3 days a week as a minimum.

  • The consultation call is roughly a 30 minute video chat with myself, this is where you can ask me any questions you may have, get to know me and my philosophy better! It is also a great opportunity for me to get to know you, your background and your future aspirations! There is no pressure to sign on afterwards either so theres nothing to lose!

  • Here at Mako Running, I work with you to fit training in and around your commitments. We also adapt your training based on your activity level at your work! We truly cater for your needs.

  • I aim to respond within 36 hours. I hope you can appreciate sometimes life happens and this maybe a little longer but I strive to respond within 36 hours.
