My experience of Mako Running has been amazing. I contacted them to discuss returning to running post plantar fascia injury after being sidelined for 6 weeks. Without the coach’s guidance and regular communication, I doubt my return to running would have gone so smoothly. 

The training sessions provided have been of real quality and it has been nice to put my trust in a professional who knows what they are talking about. My anxieties about rushing too soon at the beginning were listened to and there was a purpose behind every run. As my rehab continued and training progressed, I found the sessions varied, challenging and engaging. The Final Surge App makes it easy to see the plan for the week ahead.

In just the last few weeks Mako Running has made me run from what I called an aggressive runner into a more relaxed runner and has improved my reps and times dramatically. They have done everything to suit my work and lifestyle so if one week I can’t train with Mako Running they simply ask what shifts I’m working and if it’s working away from home they plan all my training to suit me for that week and everything is very clearly explained. I’ve known Callum for a number of years but actually first reached out to him regarding my running about 6 weeks ago when I was struggling with my training and knew I was running out of time for my upcoming marathon.

Despite giving him such a limited space of time to work with, we sat down together and put together a plan that would get the best out of me. Callum was very thorough with the details of each session and made sure to check in with me after each one for feedback - this was crucial for getting things right (Especially in my case as there was such little room for error!)
